In view of the sudden death of Professor Frank Bisby, the Executive Secretary of Species 2000, the Board of Directors have decided to extend the deadline for preliminary proposals for hosting the Species 2000 Secretariat from 18 November 2011 till 20 January 2012. Two of the Directors (Peter Schalk and Alex Gray) have assumed responsibility for the Executive Secretary tasks and will be available to answer questions of the Proposers or to receive them for interviews and can be contacted on the numbers and e-mail addresses provided in the original Call Document.
